Who are we?

The Co-Founders

Morgan Everitt

serves Bucks County as a certified end-of-life doula through her private practice, Heron’s Flight.

With over 20 years of caregiving experience, she has worked with diverse populations, including cognitively and physically disabled youth, inner-city preschoolers, elementary students, and the elderly. Her passion for end-of-life care began in 2016 while caring for her mother.

In 2018, Morgan earned her initial end-of-life doula certification through Mt. Sinai Hospital of NYC and volunteered on their palliative care floor. A dedicated learner, she holds the NEDA proficiency badge, has completed numerous trainings, is a member of The Philly End of Life Doula Collective, and guest teaches at La Mort.

Committed to providing a safe, loving home for those at the end of life, regardless of financial status, Morgan believes this work is crucial as the caregiver crisis grows.

She lives in the woods with her husband, dog, and cat. When not working, she enjoys nature, arts and crafts, and flea markets.

Whitney Shaw

is a Licensed Social who has a diverse background in hospice, palliative care, geriatric community social work, inpatient and emergency room hospital social work, case management, and mental health counseling. Whitney worked at the last inpatient hospice unit in Bucks County and experienced the void that was left in the community after it closed. Whitney is passionate about creating a homelike community for terminally ill people to live their life to their fullest and die well.

Whitney received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Montana. She continued her education at the University of Montana and received her Masters Degree in Social Work. She is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of New Jersey.  Whitney currently works as a Care Advocate for Bucks County Elder Law.

Outside of work, Whitney is a mother and wife who seeks out adventure.  In her free time, you will likely find her sailing with her family on the Chesapeake on her catboat, Moxie, skiing in New England, or daydreaming of her next adventure.
